The main facets of the Leaving Certificate course are that students learn to understand both written and oral communication, linguistic skills, grammar and culture, so as to be in a position to be able to converse comfortably and grammatically in the language, to be able to enjoy texts and novels in a language other than their mother tongue and to understand French culture.
