The study of Science at Junior involves everyday things in the world around us, both living and non-living.  It allows students to understand the importance of science in our lives and in the environment.

The course covers the three sciences; Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

In Junior Certificate Science you will be examined in two ways:

1. Coursework – during the three years of the Junior Certificate the student reports on the investigations that you carry out in class. These reports count for 35% ofthe Junior Certificate marks

2. Written examination

The exam can be taken at Higher or at Ordinary level.
