Welcome to 2015

We would like to wish all our students and their extended families every blessing in 2015. Let’s hope this year is as successful in Beneavin College as 2014 was. School begins with a full day on Monday 5th January.

There were so many successes in 2014 that they would be impossible to list, but some of the highlights included a wonderfully positive whole school inspection report about our College, a tremendous Arts and Sports festival which included our De La Salle Sports day, Beneavin Has Talent as well as Grease the Musical along with several writers, poets and storytellers visiting the College. Transition year started in 2014 very successfully. We also had many sporting wins which included our recent success of bringing the senior basketball team all the way to the finals.

Our social justice programme involves fundraising for Charity and this hit  an all time high this year as the students and staff got involved with Run for Simon, Sing for Simon, the Goal Mile, Team Hope Shoebox appeal, Temple Street as well as the  Irish Cancer Society to name a few.

Our 2014 was bursting with wonderful events and successes with over 80% of our students continuing to go on to third level. As we enter 2015 we are mindful of the task ahead for our 3rd and 6th years and wish them the very best with their studies. It will be graduation before we know it but first the hard work for the mocks. So here’s hoping that 2015 will be a very successful year academically, socially and personally for all our students as they continue to mature into wonderful Lasallian young Men.
